We often take the wildfire of the Holy Spirit and try to house it in a shed built with our own blueprints, creating machinery designed for control, predictability, and power.
From the ancient Oral Law of the Pharisees to the modern political engines of Zionist Christianity, a recurring “fault line” emerges. I break down the five patterns that keep us trapped in religious routine:
The Hand That Holds the Lens: Transferring authority to human institutions.
The Badge We Wear: Trading heart transformation for external identity markers.
The Kingdom We Build: Conflating God’s cause with earthly political success.
The Wall We Build: Defining our righteousness by who we are “against.”
The Ledger We Keep: Swapping a relationship with a Person for a manageable list of rules.
Jesus Christ didn’t come to give us a better version of the box; He came to shatter it. Join me as we look at the Pattern-Breaker who offers rest from the exhausting labor of building kingdoms He never asked us to build.
