Obedience Over Ritual

Today, I did not attend the morning prayer call, not because I overslept, but because it simply wasn't meant to be. I am content with that. Instead, I offered my morning prayers, brief but direct and heartfelt. I gave thanks to the Almighty and prayed for friends, family, and various groups on my mind this week.
