BABYLON IS A REAL SPIRITUAL PROSTITUTE! Babylon is first of our own hearts of self-righteousness. Babylon is the mother of Harlots/prostitutes. She would rather transact to get Godโ€™s loving providence than humbly trusting His unconditional love. So, coming out of Babylon is not primarily coming out of the many social systems that have been shaped by this collective self-righteousness in the heart of our species. It is coming out of your own self-righteousness. God wants a trusting child. Jesus wants a dependent wife. The god of this world wants people willing to sell their soul to get what they need. All this implies that if you want more of God, if you want God more than anything else, you will NOT FIT IN. So stop thinking you ever will. You wonโ€™t fit in to any system, including the present church system that is unknowingly steeped in self-righteous legalism (regardless how many wonderful sermons they preach against self-righteous legalism). And the rest of the world will despise โ€ฆ
