Good morning and hello friends.
A prayer for this morning to help us get our week started.
Thought I’d share with you all too.
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed, set apart, utterly holy is Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done.
Here, in this place, in this dust, as it is done in the unshadowed light where You reign.
Give us this day our daily bread, the physical, the spiritual, the breath in our lungs, the peace in our moments. And forgive us our trespasses, our debts, our rebellions large and small, as we consciously, deliberately, joyfully, forgive those who have trespassed against us.
Lead our steps away from the testing ground.
Deliver us from the presence, the very proximity, of evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory. Forever.
Father, we come with a heart full of simple thanks.
Thank you for our families. For the love that holds us, flawed as we are.
Thank you for my dog, Wiggles, a silent, loyal witness to this walk, a reminder of steadfast companionship.
Thank you for the faithful village of supportive brothers and sisters in Christ, both locally and in your digital spaces, walking this walk of obedience.
Thank you for the daily provisions that arrive, seen and unseen. For the peace of this past weekend, for the communion around a table, for the steaks that were more than meat, they were a gift of savor and satisfaction. They were delicious.
Thank you for this morning’s quiet. For the solitude that is not emptiness, but a vessel for Your presence. For the stillness that allows us to hear.
Now, as this new week dawns, we ask for a clean heart.
Create in me a clean heart, O God (Psalm 51:10).
Wipe from it anything not born of You…any residue of resentment, any hidden pride, any anxious noise. Grant us a clarity of mind so sharp it cuts through the fog of our own thoughts. Let us be a vessel, clean, empty of self, ready to be filled and poured out for Your will alone. In all that we say, in all that we do, let it be You speaking, You acting through us.
By Your grace, that unearned, relentless favor and by Your faithfulness, that never-failing promise, help us to walk as Yahusha walked. To speak as He spoke. Let our will dissolve into Yours, so completely that they are one. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper… He dwells with you and will be in you” (John 14:15-17, ESV). Let Your Spirit be our only alignment.
Father, forgive us.
Forgive our past transgressions. The acts of intentional rebellion, the clenched fist against Your way. And forgive, too, the sins born from our ignorance, the harm done because we did not know, because we did not see. Reveal them to us. Shine Your light into every darkened corner of our soul, that we may see, repent, and turn. We desire to be a more holy representative of Your kingdom here on this earth. A bearer of the light, not a dimmer of it.
we ask all of this in the great, the mighty, the only name given under heaven by which we must be saved: the name of the Messiah, Yahusha.
Amen.
