My transition from complacency to the deep end came when I realized that standing a watch in the shallows doesn't actually test your gear. Did you have to ask for it like I did or does it just happen and you realize what’s happening? I want people to know what precedes this walk of faith?
I asked. But that doesn't mean I think it's a requirement.
For me the sequence of revelations was something like this;
One:
«The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.»
Proverbs 9:10 ESV
Two:
I want to please my Father and I don't always know the best way to do that.
Three:
Ask Him if I am missing something. What are my blind spots?!
