SEX AND THE FOLLOWER OF JESUS The topic of sexuality is largely suppressed in embarrassed silence by the Christian community. When we bring it up, we invariably discuss it in the most generic terms possible. We make statements like, God created sexuality to give Him glory and Satan stole it from us and God. This is true, of course, as Satan has stolen every aspect of human life from us and God, but simply stating that sex outside of marriage is of Satan doesn’t really help anyone understand their own sexual life much at all does it? For example, why do we have infatuations rise up and tackle our otherwise loving and caring souls to the ground? We all know of many Church leaders, and Church members with excellent reputations, that have succumbed to the compulsion of infatuation and watched their entire lives of service crumble into the dust.
